About Dakota
Dakota Contractors was founded in 1998 by real estate developer Steve Selig and his son, Blake Selig, part of a family that has been shaping Atlanta's built environment for more than four generations. What began as a focused commercial interior operation has grown into one of Atlanta's most trusted full-service commercial construction firms, with more than 2,000 completed projects across retail, restaurant, medical, office, education, industrial, and adaptive reuse work.
Today, Dakota operates as part of the Selig family of companies, an Atlanta institution with more than 105 years of history. That legacy gives our clients something most contractors can't offer: the personal attention of a boutique firm backed by the trade relationships, capital resources, and operational depth of a company built over a century.
