Our Story
Dakota Contractors was founded in 1998 by real estate developer Steve Selig and his son Blake Selig. What started as a focused commercial contracting operation has grown into one of Atlanta's most trusted full-service construction firms, with a team that brings deep expertise, trade-level craftsmanship, and genuine accountability to every project.
Over the past two decades, we've built flagship locations for national brands such as Havertys, Starbucks, and The Container Store. We've delivered food halls, medical suites, brewery taprooms, fitness studios, and everything in between. Through it all, one thing has never changed: our commitment to doing the job right, every time.
