Rex J. Wallin, P.E., has been a cornerstone of Dakota since 2006. With a remarkable 51 years of experience in design, engineering, and construction, Rex brings unparalleled expertise to the company.
Rex’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Florida and a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology. His extensive career began as the owner of Decvon Construction Group, LLC, a commercial general contracting firm he led from 1986 to 2006. Prior to Dakota, Rex spent 15 years as a consulting engineer, specializing in project management and civil engineering.
At Dakota, Rex has been instrumental in overseeing and contributing to a range of significant projects. Notable among these are the 1465 Chattahoochee Avenue retail complex, Buckhead Square II Retail, Suzuki School at Ponce City Market, The Works, Damsel Restaurant, and numerous Steel Mart projects. These achievements highlight his deep involvement in high-profile and complex developments.
