Danny Lyons, affectionately known as “The Legend” has been a vital part of the Dakota team since May 6, 2007. Before joining Dakota, Danny honed his craft with 12 years at DevCon under Rex Wallin, followed by stints at Sollumn Construction and Rogers Construction. His work on various schools and public buildings laid a solid foundation for his career.
During his time at Dakota, Danny has led numerous significant projects, with his favorites being 1465 Chattahoochee Ave, Ansley Mall, Palmetto Park, and Suburban Plaza. His industry knowledge is backed by a GWSCC certification, and he came to Dakota through a recommendation from trusted colleagues.
Living in Oxford, Georgia, Danny enjoys life with his wife, Toni, and their three dogs and six chickens. He finds joy in simple pleasures like trips to the lake and a good cup of coffee or sweet tea. Danny is proud of his long career and firmly believes in the adage, “if you love what you do, you’ll never work a day in your life.” He values the trust that Dakota’s leadership places in their team, even jokingly asking, “Blake who?” when reflecting on Blake Selig’s management style.
