Bobby Bowman joined the Dakota team in 2018. With 49 years of experience in commercial construction, Bobby has made a significant impact in the industry. Before Dakota, he spent 27 years as a general foreman at Maccarthy Construction, where he led the construction of government buildings like the EBT center and Lockheed Martin, along with various city infrastructure projects. Notably, Bobby was part of the team that built the first MARTA station in Atlanta with Henson Phelp in 1975 and contributed to the construction of the Renaissance Waverly Hotel.

At Dakota, Bobby is most proud of his work on projects such as the architectural demo at Scofflaw, 3rd Spot, and particularly the Chattahoochee Food Works, which stands out as his favorite. His expertise is backed by certifications as a Master Finisher, Heavy Equipment operator (including bobcat, skid steer, and boom lift), and in Tig and Mig Welding.

Bobby’s journey to Dakota began when John King and Jayme Gary recruited him from his previous role working under Jerry Lattimore. Beyond work, Bobby is passionate about roller skating and playing basketball. He takes great pride in his career longevity and his ability to persevere in a competitive industry, especially during historically challenging times.
